I’m going to open a little window to my world. Grab a cup of and enter.
I recently finished reading “Terminal Alliance” by Jim C. Hines recently, and felt immediate connection to Lieutenant Adamopoulos, a capable leader, placed (on purpose) in an under-qualified position, only to use her inherent skills when her world turns on its head. I admire the way the writer made her not whiny, even in the face of utter injustice. She felt like a real person, within this extremely outworldly settings, and from start to finish remained true to herself. If you write, I recommend this book (among many other reasons) for a good example of character building.
