UFC225 was a 3-in-1 deal, where every section (Fight pass prelims, TV prelims, Main card) could each be a main card on any given night. The main card featured 5 fights, all of which went to decisions, the 13 fights on the whole evening yielded only 5 finishes and still, 225 was a very entertaining card top to bottom.
Alright, let’s jump right to my picks. Then, we’ll chat about this, that and the other.
Many people said this was not a card worthy of a PPV and you know, they might still have a case. It was, however a very enjoyable night of fights, with tons of action and fun fights, starting in the early prelims (very early if you were in Perth Australia…) all the way to the main event. We saw Israel Adesanya’s violent debut and a spinning back fist knockdown, A magnificent GnP and a surprising but welcome Kimura. But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
Let’s discuss my picks quickly. Then, we’ll chat about this, that and the other.
A lot of people question whether this card is “PPV worthy”. Me? I don’t really care. I see good potential and hope that this would become one of those cards that deliver more than expected. Interesting fights from early prelims to main event, which will give us the identity of the middleweight number one contender. I don’t have a lot of time so…
